The seasonal program focused on learning the English language offers students not only exciting lessons in an interactive format, but also the opportunity to learn more about England, its culture and attractions. In a few weeks at the language school, students will visit iconic places in London, Cardiff and Bristol, see famous exhibitions and historical monuments, and enjoy the natural and architectural beauty of the region. On days without excursions, students gather together to get to know each other better during interactive thematic games, master classes and discos.
English lessons occupy an important place in the curriculum — students are expected to have 40 lessons in small groups, each with its own topic. In the lessons, students focus on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills, expand their vocabulary, practice spoken language through discussions, debates and collaborative project work. The development of language skills in the classroom is provided by a variety of leisure activities outside of class hours, helping to improve English proficiency quickly and confidently.

University of Wales Carmarthen & London English School is an English language school offering a short-term summer program for students aged 11-17. Education is available to students with any level of language skills, making the course popular among representatives of many nationalities and countries.
The program is conducted on the University of Wales campus in Carmarthen, providing pupils not only with intensive language development through immersion in an English-speaking environment, but also with the opportunity to learn more about culture and customs, and explore the sights of the region. The course curriculum consists of daily English lessons, numerous campus events and seven excursions — for a full or half day. A highlight of the program will be a three-day trip to London with accommodation on university campus and visits to world-famous attractions.

Accommodation, meals, prices
During the studies, students are accommodated in a residence offering two types of rooms: single and double. Residents have access to common areas such as relaxation zones, laundry facilities, and outdoor sports and walking areas. Bathrooms are mostly private. Two nights of the three-day trip to London will be organized at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David residence, which offers similar living conditions.
Teaching staff live near the students, providing 24/7 support and accompanying them during events and excursions.
Students are provided with a balanced daily diet: two English breakfasts, lunch, and dinner. Meals are served in the dining hall at scheduled times, and on excursion days, students receive a prepaid meal card or packed lunch. During the trip to London, students will be provided with half-board meals.
Activities University of Wales Summer Camp
The program provides students with the opportunity to visit several cities in the region and see world-famous attractions. During their stay at the language camp, students will take three excursions by private bus and four trips around the surroundings (for a few hours). For a whole day:
- Cardiff: walking tour, Cardiff Bay and Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Castle,
- Swansea: walking tour, Oystermouth Castle,
- Bristol: walking tour, exploring Banksy's street art, visiting the Bristol Suspension Bridge.
Trips for a few hours:
- Tenby: walking tour of the small resort town-port,
- Kidwelly Castle,
- Carmarthen: walking tour of the city that claims to be the oldest city in Wales,
- Carmarthen: shopping.
On days when there are no excursions on the schedule, students participate in various campus events. Staff organize daytime and evening events to help students get to know each other, give them the opportunity to try their hand at new hobbies and gain new knowledge:

Facilities and equipment at University of Wales Summer Camp
Most of the studying is conducted on the campus of University of Wales in Carmarthen. The educational area is historically significant — its location has not changed since its opening, it is a green area with several academic buildings, sports facilities, and open areas for walks and events. Spacious classrooms with interactive equipment are used during the educational process, and extracurricular activities are organized in creative studios, halls, and on sports grounds.
For three days, students go to London, where they will live and study on the campus of University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
Admission dates and extra charges
The program runs from the beginning of July to mid-August, has several start dates in both months and the ability to vary the duration of study according to the student's goals and wishes — it is possible to study at the language center for one to three weeks in a row. The schedule stipulates morning English lessons, daytime and evening entertainment or excursions. A three-day trip to London can be organized either during the course of study or "added" to the curriculum at the end of it.
The course price takes into account expenses for academic materials and the curriculum, accommodation and meals, all campus events, several excursions and much more. Services that will require additional payment include health insurance, flights, administrative fees and deposits, personal expenses.
Enrolment process
Those wishing to enroll in the seasonal program fill out a registration form, provide documents and await a response from the admissions committee. Teaching staff of the language center will provide all necessary information about the curriculum, study conditions and arrival in the country, and then conduct an online test to determine their current level of English proficiency. Upon arrival on campus, students are assigned to groups and begin studies.

A graduation certificate issued upon completing studies confirms the completed preparation and progress in language skills development.
