The University of Dayton (abbreviated UD) is a non–profit university in the United States that has been accepting students since 1850. The institution of higher education began its history with 14 students, one building and a farm on the banks of the Miami River in southwestern Ohio, less than two miles from downtown Dayton. Today, the University of Dayton is a large modern university offering a variety of programs at various levels for American and international students, events on and off campus.

The rest of the students can live both in the study area, if there are available places, and rent a house outside it.

The University of Dayton campus occupies a vast area of 388 acres, located in the southern part of the city of Dayton. It is divided into four parts: Historical, Western, River and Sports, and includes a total of 38 educational, sports, administrative and scientific buildings, 18 residences and several hundred individual residential buildings.

The diverse infrastructure is particularly technologically advanced in equipment: each classroom has interactive equipment, modern technology for experiments and practical training is installed in scientific laboratories, and extracurricular education studios — music, theater, and sound recording — include all the necessary materials and tools to achieve success. There are many specialized facilities on the school grounds that meet the latest technology, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and develop important professional qualities. The academic calendar consists of two semesters:

In the summer months, students of some programs attend sessions, while others rest. Classes are not held on weekends and holidays, during the Christmas holidays. The school week consists of five days: from Monday to Friday.
