Summer Art Programs
- Age — from 13 to 18 years old,
- Duration of study — three weeks.
The studying center offers three summer courses:
- Drawing and painting,
- Photography,
- Architecture.

- Design and construction,
- Photography,
- Drawing and painting,
- Art history.
Each course lasts three weeks and includes daily classes in specialized studios, work with professional masters and a variety of materials. Under the guidance of teachers, children study various techniques and methods for realizing their potential, whether it's design thinking and project development, studio photography or self-portrait painting, and create a personal portfolio of works. Most of the academic time is devoted to practice, which takes place both in classrooms and outside them: in open areas of the campus, in mountainous areas and during excursions.
The programs include numerous trips to the region's attractions, including small historically preserved villages and towns with exhibition halls and professional studios. During excursions, students of all courses interact with each other, sharing experience and knowledge.
Description of TASIS Les Tapies Summer Camp
- Location: Les Tapies, France,
- Age of students: from 13 to 18 years old,
- Language of instruction: English, French,
- Type of studying: mixed.
Les Tapies Summer is a summer art school for gifted and creative students who want to show their abilities and talents, communicate with like—minded people and exchange experiences, gain valuable new knowledge in the field of art they are interested in.
Seasonal programs provide students not only with resources and knowledge to develop their abilities, but also with high—quality preparation for admission to a specialized institution. Statistics show that many graduates of the summer camp in France successfully pass exams and enroll in their chosen program, even at the most prestigious and ranked universities in the world.
The art center has created an international atmosphere — during the French summer holidays, students from more than 50 countries come to the school grounds. Communication within a multinational community will help students make new friends, learn to understand and accept an outside point of view, and actively contribute to the development of communication and speech skills. Students of different nationalities are able to perceive a particular type of art, work or art object in different ways - this provides an opportunity to exchange experiences and opinions, broadens their horizons.
The summer camp is located in Northern Provence in the south of France, in the small 17th-century settlement of Le Tapie. This village carefully preserves, preserves and restores the precious features of national folk architecture: the composition of six stone houses seems to merge with the surrounding countryside and nature, offering stunning views of the nearby foothills of the Alps and the magnificent Rhone Valley.
Educational process
The most important element of all courses will be practice: students of the Faculty of Architecture, Drawing and Painting, Photography and Art History will carry out a field project dedicated to the study of art, architecture and archeology of a remote Romanesque Cistercian abbey of the 12th century, located high in the Ardeche mountains. Under the guidance of qualified teachers, they will study the aesthetic and functional aspects of Cistercian architectural traditions, stone carving and construction techniques, and get acquainted with the daily life of a medieval religious community. After studying the history of French Romanesque art and architecture, students will visit the abbey to make drawings, paintings and photographs of the place, and will even create a large-scale model of the abbey as it might have been in the 12th century.
Accommodation, meals, prices
During their studies, students are accommodated in residence halls that can accommodate up to 35 students: residents have access to large open terraces, a games room with billiards and table football, darts and other games.
A three-course meal is served daily in the campus dining room: breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared according to a varied and balanced menu.
