Summer English Course

This summer program offers students a great opportunity to spend their vacation fun and usefully. A busy schedule includes 40 English lessons aimed at improving writing, reading, listening and speaking skills, almost daily campus events, several excursions to the sights of London and nearby cities.

English lessons are held in small groups, so each student receives individual attention from the teacher, develops important skills at their own pace. Regular conversational practice, organized both in classes and outside them, helps students expand their vocabulary, strengthen confidence in using English in various life situations. Language classes are supplemented by a variety of collective activities, during which students will get to know each other better, learn about the culture, customs and sights of the country, try their hand at new sports and creativity.

During their studies, students live in comfortable residence and receive balanced meals, employees of the language center and teachers are available around the clock, providing comprehensive support on any issue.

Roehampton University English School — an English language learning center inviting students aged 11 to 17 to short-term summer programs. Dozens of teenagers from all over the world study here who want to improve their general level of English, learn about the culture and customs of England, and spend their holidays fun and usefully.

The program is organized on the educational grounds of one of the capital's state research universities — Roehampton University, which allows students to feel like real students of an English university, because during their studies they use the university infrastructure for classes, accommodation and events. Students will find a rich academic plan with daily language lessons, many campus and off-campus activities — in just a few weeks they will be able to develop important skills in English, see the iconic sights of London and Brighton.

The summer course provides students with everything necessary: from comfortable and safe places for study and accommodation, diverse leisure activities to comprehensive support from competent teachers and staff of the language center.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Comfortable residences with single and double rooms and common areas for relaxation and leisure are located on the Roehampton University campus in the London district of Roehampton. Bathrooms are equipped in each living room, providing a high degree of comfort for residents.

Every day students visit a large dining hall for breakfast, lunch and dinner: dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients and seasonal products, the menu includes both national and international cuisine. On excursion days, students receive packed lunches or meal cards to purchase food in cafes and restaurants of the city.

The weekly schedule for students includes campus events organized during lunchtime and in the evening, excursions around London and Brighton – both full-day and several hours long:

On days when students do not have an excursion planned, center staff organize thematic events for them: karaoke, board game evenings and movie screenings, discos, sports competitions, cooking master classes and much more. Upon completion of the course, all students participate in a diploma awarding ceremony accompanied by a concert and disco.

The Roehampton University campus is located in southwest London, in the Roehampton area. The city center can be reached by subway — it takes only 20 minutes to get there.  The educational territory features historic and modern academic buildings surrounded by a large park with a pond. Classes are held in spacious classrooms equipped with interactive equipment, and students have access to recreation areas, outdoor spaces and other university infrastructure outside of class hours.

Admission dates and extra charges

The course runs from June to August, has several start dates and a flexible duration: one or two weeks. The program schedule includes morning classes, thematic events during the day and evening. During the week, students attend an average of 2-3 excursions.

The cost of the course includes expenses for accommodation and meals, academic plan and necessary materials, all campus events and most excursions, including entrance tickets to visit some attractions. Additional costs will be required for administrative fees and deposits, medical insurance, flights, personal expenses.

Enrolment process

The admissions committee expects a completed registration form and the required documents, after which it conducts an online test to determine your current level of English proficiency and provides the necessary information about arriving on campus.

Upon completion of the course, each student receives a graduation certificate confirming their training and progress in English proficiency. Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Students from all over the world aged 11 to 17 are accepted into the program. English language proficiency is not required for admission — all applicants take an online test before the start of training to be placed in groups.

To stay on the territory of England, foreign applicants need a passport, visa or residence permit, and medical insurance.
