Summer English Course

After classes, students participate in various activities: team games, parties, workshops, sports training and excursions. The program includes full- and half-day trips to see the famous places of Manhattan and Brooklyn, you can visit Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington during a two-day mini-tour.

Being in an English-speaking environment, students learn more effectively, regularly practice their spoken language and expand their vocabulary, achieving excellent progress noticeable from the first days.

Ramapo College Summer Camp (New York & Washington) β€” a seasonal camp for students aged 10 to 20 who want to improve their English language skills and have fun during the summer holidays in one of the country's most popular tourist states. The camp is suitable for students with any initial level of language proficiency.

Students can expect a rich curriculum with lessons in small groups, diverse leisure activities, campus events and excursions. Training takes place on the Ramapo College campus β€” one of the well-known colleges in the state, regularly noted by national and international rankings. Its infrastructure includes not only modern classrooms but also a number of sports facilities, specialized studios and many other premises used for leisure activities.

The program also provides an opportunity to visit other cities in the region β€” a two-day mini-tour offers visits to Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia.

Accommodation, meals, prices

During the training period, students are accommodated in a residence on campus. The dormitory offers several types of rooms: twin rooms, and one- and two-bedroom apartments for two or four people. All rooms have private bathrooms.

Accommodation is provided on a full board basis: students receive daily balanced meals, including two American breakfasts and a prepaid meal card during excursions.

  • Brooklyn: walk across the famous bridge, Lower Manhattan, Wall Street, visit to the 9/11 Memorial,
  • Walking tour of Hudson Yards and Chelsea, The Vessel, High Line and Chelsea Market, visit to Little Island,
  • New York: Statue of Liberty, Immigration Museum on Ellis Island, ferry ride,
  • American Dream entertainment center.

The leisure program also includes a two-day trip with visits to Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington and their attractions. During the tour, students stay in a hotel with half board.

The Ramapo College campus is located in the state of New Jersey, in the town of Mahwah. Occupying a green area of 300 acres, it is only a 30-minute drive from Manhattan and its world-famous attractions. The college infrastructure includes modern classroom equipment, specialized studios, sports and creative facilities.

Admission dates and extra charges

The program is available in June-July, has several start dates and offers to choose a suitable duration for each student: two, three or four weeks of study. Each week is organized according to a busy schedule with morning English lessons, daytime and evening campus events, periodic excursions. A mini-tour of Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington can be added both during the learning process and closer to the end of the program.
