Summer English Course

The summer English course will be a great opportunity not only to improve language skills, but also to visit iconic places in California, see world-famous attractions, gain international educational experience, spend your vacation with pleasure and benefit.

The curriculum includes 40 English lessons, five full-day and one half-day excursions, and almost daily entertainment activities on campus. In class, students focus on reading, writing, listening and speaking skills — teachers use various interactive methods, encouraging students to communicate more and work on collaborative projects, developing conversational speech and expanding vocabulary.

Extracurricular activities reinforce the knowledge gained in the classroom and allow you to study the culture, customs and history of the USA. The course provides an opportunity to spend three days in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, which will diversify students' leisure time and add them unique emotions from their stay in the country.

During the learning process, pupils regularly take small tests to track progress, which is reflected in the graduation certificate at the end.

Pitzer College Summer Camp (Los Angeles & Las Vegas) — a seasonal language center offering an English program for students aged 11-17 with any level of proficiency.

Studies are conducted in the state of California, on the campus of the private institution Pitzer College: it boasts excellent facilities used for study, sports, creativity and various events. The summer course includes accommodation in a comfortable residence, numerous entertainment events on the educational grounds and several excursions during which students can see iconic attractions in the region. In addition to all the benefits of the program, there is a mini-tour with a three-day stay in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

The comfortable Pitzer College residence hall accommodates students in adjoining double rooms with full furnishings and one bathroom for every four residents. Accommodation is provided on a "full board" basis, which includes two American breakfasts daily and a meal card.

Activities Pitzer College Summer Camp

The leisure plan of the summer course offers students a variety of on-campus and off-site events — each event is aimed at practicing conversational English skills, expanding vocabulary, gaining new knowledge and positive emotions.

Various thematic activities are organized on the educational grounds during the day and evening: games based on popular works, sports training, creative and culinary workshops, talent shows, movie screenings, etc. Some days are set aside for excursions: both walking tours and those using private buses, public transport. During their stay in the summer camp, students will be able to visit:

  • Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Highland, Griffith Park and Griffith Observatory,
  • The Getty Center, Santa Monica Beach and Pier,
  • California Science Museum,
  • L.A. Live and the LA Lakers arena,
  • Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles Farmers Market and The Grove,
  • California beach, sunset barbecue,
  • San Diego: La Jolla and the famous Seal Beach, Embarcadero and Seaport Village, Old Town, State Historic Park,
  • Claremont Village.

During the program or closer to its completion, three days and two nights can be spent in Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon: students are accommodated in a hotel, participate in an excursion along the Strip with a visit to the Bellagio fountain, Venetian station, Grand Canal, south rim of the Grand Canyon.

Admission dates and extra charges
