Summer English Course

The summer program on the Newcastle University campus will provide students with an intensive improvement in their English language skills through regular communication with native speakers, interactive lessons, and a wide range of entertainment and cultural events.

Discussion will be the basis of language classes, during which students expand vocabulary, learn lexical items and listening comprehension, and develop reading and writing skills. Studying in groups of up to 17 people, students are under the guidance of qualified teachers who immerse them in a linguistic environment with the help of interactive materials and discussion. Every week, pupils can expect 20 lessons of 45 minutes each.

After classes, students go on excursions or participate in collective campus events, doing sports and creative activities.

A residence located near the academic buildings of Newcastle University offers accommodation in furnished single bedrooms with private bathrooms, grouped into five-to-six room apartments. Apartment residents share a common living area with TV and have access to fast Wi-Fi.

A balanced three meals a day are served daily in the large dining hall on campus: breakfasts, lunches and dinners include an extensive range of national and international cuisine, vegetarian recipes, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Activities Newcastle University Summer School

Entertainment activities are organized on a daily basis. Students can expect daytime and evening campus events:

Admission dates and extra charges

The summer course are conducted in June-August, and the duration of study is flexible — students stay on campus from one to several weeks, choosing a term according to their wishes and goals. According to the schedule, language classes are held in the morning, followed by various campus and off-campus events.

The course fee already includes the curriculum, full board accommodation, and numerous activities. The following services are paid separately:
