Summer English Course

The summer program on the Newcastle University campus will provide students with an intensive improvement in their English language skills through regular communication with native speakers, interactive lessons, and a wide range of entertainment and cultural events.
Discussion will be the basis of language classes, during which students expand vocabulary, learn lexical items and listening comprehension, and develop reading and writing skills. Studying in groups of up to 17 people, students are under the guidance of qualified teachers who immerse them in a linguistic environment with the help of interactive materials and discussion. Every week, pupils can expect 20 lessons of 45 minutes each.
After classes, students go on excursions or participate in collective campus events, doing sports and creative activities.

Newcastle University Summer School is a summer school for foreign students aged 12-18, offering an exciting program of English language study with immersion in the linguistic environment, regular communication with native speakers, exploration of the sights of Newcastle upon Tyne and other cities in the region.
Studying is organized on the campus of one of the country's leading universities — Newcastle University, allowing students to feel like real students at a British university. Founded in 1834, it has preserved its historical architecture, adding solemnity and even rigor to the educational process. Many infrastructure facilities are available to pupils of the summer program, they have ample opportunities for extracurricular activities: from creative and sports events to entertainment quizzes, parties. The course is supplemented by excursions with visits to iconic attractions that will allow you to immerse yourself in the study of culture, history and traditions of the region and country.
Accommodation, meals, prices
A residence located near the academic buildings of Newcastle University offers accommodation in furnished single bedrooms with private bathrooms, grouped into five-to-six room apartments. Apartment residents share a common living area with TV and have access to fast Wi-Fi.
A balanced three meals a day are served daily in the large dining hall on campus: breakfasts, lunches and dinners include an extensive range of national and international cuisine, vegetarian recipes, fresh fruits and vegetables.
Activities Newcastle University Summer School
Entertainment activities are organized on a daily basis. Students can expect daytime and evening campus events:

On some days, excursions are organized for half a day or a full day:

For an additional fee, the excursion program can be supplemented with trips to places such as Alnwick Castle, Newcastle Castle, Leeds, St James Park stadium, Center for Natural Sciences, amusement park, Victoria Tunnel.

Studying is organized at the international Newcastle University center, located on a vast territory in Newcastle upon Tyne: modern classrooms with interactive equipment have been prepared for classes, comfortable rest areas, and a dining room.
Admission dates and extra charges
The summer course are conducted in June-August, and the duration of study is flexible — students stay on campus from one to several weeks, choosing a term according to their wishes and goals. According to the schedule, language classes are held in the morning, followed by various campus and off-campus events.
The course fee already includes the curriculum, full board accommodation, and numerous activities. The following services are paid separately:

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Students aged 12-18 are accepted into the summer program (older students, 18+, can only be admitted as part of a group). To enter, you must have a foreign passport, health insurance, a visa or residence permit.
The course is designed for pupils with any level of English proficiency.
