Discover Madrid & Catalunya

This program offers students the opportunity to visit three cities in 10 days: Madrid, Barcelona and Tarragona. The curriculum includes 20 weekly English lessons aimed at improving writing, speaking, listening, and reading skills; an additional 20 hours are allocated for practicing conversational speech in small groups.

The leisure plan for pupils includes:

  • A tour of ancient Roman Tarragona (Tarraco),
  • Cultural tour of Barcelona and Madrid: Sagrada Familia, Columbus Monument, Las Ramblas street, Gothic Quarter, Pueblo Espanyol square, La Pedrera,
  • Shopping day,
  • Tarragona: rope park and zipline,
  • Treasure hunt in Tarragona.

Every evening students get together to have fun on campus or in the residence hall: camp staff organize various activities for them, including parties, beach recreation, walks around Tarragona, and water games.

For an additional fee, you can add excursions to the following places:

  • Visit to PortAventura amusement park with more than 30 attractions,
  • Visit to the "Ferrari Land" amusement park,

A summer course aimed at teenagers aged 10-14 offers an exciting journey through Spain with visits to the sights of Barcelona, Valencia and Tarragona. During 10 days, students will participate in activities such as:

  • 20 language lessons per week focused on developing reading and writing skills, speaking and listening comprehension; in addition to them, the schedule includes 20 hours of conversational practice in small groups,
  • An excursion around ancient Roman Tarraco with an English-speaking guide,

This intensive course invites students aged 13-17 who want to improve their English language skills and visit the iconic sights of three Spanish cities: Barcelona, Madrid and Tarragona. The curriculum for students includes:

  • 20 weekly English language classes held in small groups. Under the guidance of qualified teachers, students improve their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, and practice conversational speech for 20 additional hours,
  • A tour of the historical sights of Tarraco with an English-speaking guide,
  • A full-day tour of Barcelona with visits to Sagrada Familia, Columbus Monument, Gothic Quarter, Plaza Pueblo Español and other places, shopping,
  • Visiting a rope park in Tarragona and zip-lining,

Madrid Tarragona Camp is an international camp offering three unique programs with visits to several historical cities in Spain. The courses are aimed at students aged 10-17 years old, providing not only a leisure-filled curriculum but also interactive English lessons.

Seasonal programs have many advantages, starting with unforgettable experiences from summer vacations spent in Valencia, Barcelona, Tarragona and Madrid. Each course stipulates visits and accommodation in a certain number of cities, guided tours of historical sights and cultural places, and free time for shopping. Students are surrounded by comprehensive support from qualified camp staff – teachers lead small groups, paying individual attention to each student and accompanying them throughout their stay in Spain.

Accommodation, meals, prices

The summer camp residence is located in the central area of Tarragona, just a few minutes from the beach and educational buildings. Students are accommodated in twin rooms with bathrooms, fully furnished, and free Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are changed regularly, and a thorough cleaning of the rooms is carried out weekly.

The residential building features common relaxation areas, a self-service laundry room, a cafeteria, and a gym. The residence is under 24-hour video surveillance, and residents have access to specialized staff support for a comfortable stay.

Every day, pupils are provided with hot three meals a day, regardless of their location.

The main element of the leisure program will be excursions to the sights and cultural sites of the cities. Students can expect campus events almost every day: from parties and beach recreation to interactive games and collective movie screenings. Some of the events are:

Admission dates and extra charges

Summer courses are conducted in July-August, lasting about two weeks. During this time, students follow a balanced schedule including language lessons, on-campus and off-campus events.

Enrolment process

Applicants complete the registration form and pay the registration fee, and then, after receiving a response from the admissions committee, fully pay for the summer program. Upon arrival on campus, they will take a language test, based on which students are assigned to groups and begin their studies.

Perspectives

Upon completing each course, students receive a graduation certificate confirming their progress in learning English.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Summer courses have the following age criteria for admission:

  • Discover Madrid & Catalunya — 11-17 years,
  • Discover Barcelona, Valencia & Tarragona — 10-14 years,
  • Discover Barcelona, Madrid & Tarragona — 13-17 years.

English language proficiency is not an important criterion for admission.

To study in Spain, applicants need a foreign passport, health insurance, a visa or residence permit.
