Downe House Summer School is an international summer school offering an English language program for students aged 10-18.

The seasonal course is conducted on the territory of the prestigious Downe House school, located in the countryside of Berkshire. The extensive grounds with numerous educational and sports facilities, proximity to the town of Newbury and regional attractions will make the summer holidays memorable for students — the program provides not only interactive English lessons, but also a variety of extracurricular activities and excursions. The summer course has many advantages: from qualified native English teachers, a balanced schedule to diverse leisure activities, accommodation in comfortable residence and round-the-clock supervision by caring specialists of the center.

Two-, three- and four-bed rooms with full furnishings and bathrooms are prepared in the residence. Cleaning is carried out weekly, residents are provided with the necessary bedding. Students have access to recreation areas and laundry facilities, and high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the residence.

Daily breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining room, prepared according to a balanced and varied menu. Students can choose dishes from several options, including vegetarian ones.

The leisure program for students stipulates a variety of on-campus and off-site events. Upon arrival, children get to know each other, meet teachers and explore the campus at the first welcoming event, and then they can look forward to weekly:

Excursions are organized for half a day and a full day, offering students to explore the region's iconic attractions and visit entertainment and cultural venues:

• London: walking tour of the center, visiting the National Gallery,
• Oxford: visiting the campuses of the leading university and college,
• Bath: walk around the center with a visit to the Roman Baths, shops and cafes,
• Brighton: walk around the city, promenade with a visit to the Sea Life Centre.

For an additional fee, students can join excursions to Winchester, Thorpe Park amusement park, Windsor Castle, Hampton Court Palace, Milestones living history museum.

Classes are conducted on the Downe House campus, located in the small village of Cold Ash, a short drive from Newbury. The campus is surrounded by hills and forests, which will be an excellent place for outdoor recreation and walks. The infrastructure provides students with not only modern classrooms equipped with interactive equipment but also an open sports field, an indoor multi-functional center for training, comfortable accommodation, a medical center and other facilities.

The summer program is usually organized in July-August, and the duration of study varies from one to several weeks depending on the student's wishes. Students follow a balanced schedule that alternates weekly — classes are organized in the morning and afternoon alternately, followed by extracurricular activities.

Accommodation and three meals a day, a full academic program, necessary educational materials, most extracurricular activities and excursions are already included in the tuition fee. The following are paid separately:

Applicants complete the registration form and submit documents, after which the admissions committee confirms their enrollment. Upon arrival on campus, all students take a language test, based on the results of which they are assigned to groups and begin their studies.

Upon completing the course, students receive a graduation certificate confirming their progress. Immersion in an English-speaking environment allows students to use English more confidently in academic and everyday life, expanding their opportunities for further academic pursuits.

Students of any English level are accepted to the course, the main criterion is only age — from 10 to 18 years old (18-year-old students can be enrolled only as part of a group). For studying in the UK, foreign applicants need a passport, visa or residence permit, and health insurance.
